The home of PGWA Champion Wrestler Nikki Roxx!
THE NIKKI WORLD ORDER
Seventy-six days.
That’s how long it took Nikki Roxx to put a stranglehold on two continents and emerge as one of the world’s few genuine international champions. A mere seventy-six days.
On April the 23rd, of course, Nikki stunned the wrestling world by defeating Pippa L’Vinn for the PGWA title in Manchester, England. She was no stranger to championship gold, having won and retained the Lucha Libre Femenil Juvenil belt in 2004, and also having briefly possessed, along with Diana la Cazadora, the LLF Tag Team Championship. But the PGWA crown was the first truly international title she had earned.
It would not be the last.
On July the 8th in Monterrey, Mexico, a sultry, sweltering summer night, Nikki emerged from a sixteen woman tournament with the LLF International Title strapped firmly around her waist!
To win it, she had to defeat the likes of Tigresa del Norte, her friend and partner, Diana la Cazadora, and finally one of the most feared rudas in all of Mexico, La Chacala (and Roxx also had to fend off the illegal interference of Tsunami). It was a brutal night of action, pushing all of the women to their physical limits. Nikki had to call upon every scrap of knowledge she possesses in both technical grappling as well as in old fashioned brawling (luckily, “Killer” Kowalski taught her well in both!) to advance. And despite her popularity with the fans, she was not the odds-on favorite to win the tourney; pre-card polling showed La Chacala, Tsunami and Diana la Cazadora all more heavily favored to go all the way.
But “La Gringa,” as the LLF fans have lovingly dubbed her, has always been an odds-beater. And she proved again on that hot Friday night just why she is so acclaimed as one of the best young women in the sport today!
Congratulations to Nikki for her victory!
